Slow Loading Screen

it kills me! realy, it does >_< when u switching from one map to another (portals) offten the loading screen takes longer to load than it should. If there is mob (or even in WoE) u realise that u already dead when loading finish. What to do :no:

It might be a GPU issue. This is a well-known problem with motherboard integrated GPUs. Which one do you use?

Using Radeon HD5770 video card.

I'd say fragmented HD. Run something like VoptXP or any other defragmenter. The access to files will be faster - map caching will be faster.

Yeah, when I look at ragnarok GRF files on my defragmenter, they have inordinate amounts of fragments. o_O

Deguna, what is the problem? I know it takes a while - but this is nececity, especially with such a big capacity.
Your new hard will also become fragmented and will also become slow if you won't defrag it.
It like saying "I'm fat and big - it takes me way too long to shower." -
Defragment the HD while you sleep. As for me, there is simply not enough space on my computer to defragment properly.

Conventional Hard Drives are obsolete technology. Right now, SSD(Solid State Drive) is the new thing as there are no moving parts and it is like a really big memory card for your computer I use it and ragnarok flies.

As an update, I had finally gotten a new computer. Memory is better, processor is better... just about everything is.Every time a game I have patches, it fragments files... but, I've been keeping 0% fragments on my computer and I don't get slow loading screens anymore.
