that happened to me once before too, i dont remember how i fixed it that time, maybe old ruro.exe can solve the problem.want it too.i only see "ééiçöö" instead of russian(Kryll?) alphabet.thats lame i even cant remember nicknames in russ alphabet

Not sure if you tried this...
But what Alterschwede was saying is, when you run updater, you can choose settings to modify your RO settings. In the bottom right corner of that window is "Russian chat encoding". I was having this same problem until I checked that box.

deepmountain, You need to try, to set "Russian" (1251) as default for non-unicode programs in Windows > Control Panel > Regional settings
